Overview
Applied Materials is offering internship opportunities for MS/PhD/Final Year Dual Degree students in Chemistry and Material Science who are eager to bring fresh ideas, perspectives, and passion to their work. During the internship, selected students will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced Chemists and Process Engineers, receiving guidance and mentorship throughout the process. The main focus of the internship is on the development of surface chemistries related to semiconductor integration. This entails designing experiments, collecting data, analyzing results, and compiling reports on specific problems and challenges within the field.
Work Description
Internship Duration: 3-6 months
Stipend: Between 30,000 and 66,000 INR (based on qualification degree)
The work is purely onsite (in Mumbai/Banagalore). As an intern, you will:
- Design experiments and perform data collection
- Analyze experimental data and compile reports
- Work closely with a Chemist or Process Engineer to address problems and challenges in semiconductor integration
- Focus on the development of surface chemistries
- Gain an understanding of structure-function relationships and design engineering principles
Skills Learned
During the internship, interns can expect to acquire the following skills:
- Experimental design and execution
- Data analysis
- Report writing
- Knowledge of semiconductor integration and surface chemistries
- Understanding of structure-function relationships
Qualifications Required
To be eligible for the internship, you should meet the following qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an MS/PhD/Dual Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field
- Candidates with a pharmaceutical background and exposure to formulations are also encouraged to apply
- Final year students or PhD students nearing the submission of their thesis will be given preference
