Who Are We?

The energy club has a total of six members, including the club manager and club secretary, both of whom are third-year students. There are also four conveners, who are all sophomores. The club's focus is on organizing events to promote awareness about various sectors related to energy.

What Have We Done So Far?

The energy club has hosted a number of successful events, including an international symposium in collaboration with universities such as NTU, TU Delft, and Durham University. We have also held an "Energize" quiz, factory visits (e.g. to the Tarapur Nuclear Power Plant), workshops, speaker sessions, panel discussions, and debate competitions. These events are all aimed at promoting awareness about various sectors related to energy.

What is our Vision?

Energy plays a vital role in many aspects of our daily lives, from electric vehicles and cryptocurrency, to international relations and the ongoing transition towards a net-zero future. The energy club is dedicated to exploring a wide range of topics related to energy, including climate change, sustainability, renewable energy, government energy policies, energy storage technologies, and the use of blockchain for energy security and sustainability. We plan to accomplish this through a variety of activities including competitions, debates, lectures, group discussions, documentary screenings, quizzes, and field trips. By engaging in these activities, we aim to gain a deeper understanding of the multifaceted field of energy.

Who are we looking for, and what's in it for you?

The energy club provides its members with opportunities to develop a range of skills, including communication, teamwork, management, technical knowledge in the energy field, cross-cultural collaboration and negotiation, approaching industrialists, article writing, and design. To be a successful member of the club, it is important to have strong teamwork skills and a passion for learning and inquiry.
